RE: Chapter Reporting
for Alumnae Officers
Delta Zeta will be unveiling our
new social networking site,
Delta Zeta Metro, on
September 2, 2009. We are
excited to launch this new
network and wanted to let you
know what you can expect with
this launch. We also wanted to
update you on the new upcoming
alumnae officer reporting
system.
·
What is Metro?
Metro is where our members,
collegiate and alumnae, connect
in cyberspace. Metro links to
other social media, such as
Facebook and
Twitter pages,
the
Delta Zeta national Web site,
The LAMP online, our
new member Web site and
Pink Goes Green.
However, unlike public social
networking sites, Metro is Delta
Zeta’s private
social network, open to members
only.
·
What can I do in Metro?
Every Delta Zeta can create her
profile in Metro. Members can
create groups, receive
announcements and browse Delta
Zeta videos and publications.
You can upload photos, blog and
network with your Delta Zeta
sisters anywhere in Metro. Both
collegians and alumnae can
benefit from the professional
networking and job resources
available in this network. You
will receive Delta Zeta news and
updates and access all the
resources you need through
Metro.
Moreover, Metro reinforces our
pledge to be environmentally
aware through our Pink Goes
Green initiative. Anything and
everything having to do with
Delta Zeta lives on Metro.
Alumnae chapters and chapter
associations will have many
opportunities to use Metro to
connect with alumnae, invite
“unconnected” alumnae to join
them, make new friends and
reconnect with old ones. As the
system grows, both alumnae
officers and members-at-large
will discover more resources and
ways to enrich the Delta Zeta
experience through Metro.
·
How will alumnae officers’
reporting functions change?
Currently, Delta Zeta is working
with the developer of our
membership database on a fully
automated alumnae officer
reporting system that integrates
with that database. Through
Metro, Delta Zeta alumnae
officers (Area Alumnae Directors
and their teams and Alumnae
Chapter Presidents) will use
Chapter Inc., the new reporting
system. With Chapter Inc., you
will be able to access and enter
your chapter operations
activities and events as they
happen in the system. It will be
simple and easy to use because
the extra deadlines and reports
from the past have been
eliminated.
You will view your chapter
profile online to learn more
about membership, community
support, networking
opportunities and more.
Resources are readily available.
It is completely paperless and
supports Delta Zeta’s Pink Goes
Green effort. Chapter Inc. will
give you what you need to do
your Delta Zeta jobs efficiently
and easily.
AADs and their area teams will
also be able to view the same
information for the alumnae
chapters in their areas.
The new alumnae reporting system
will be available in
approximately 60-90 days.
We will keep you updated on its
progress in the coming weeks.
·
How do I access the information
and reports I need in the
meantime?
As the old reporting system,
DZLink, will no longer be
functional, all resources and
alumnae chapter reports (in Word
doc and PDF formats), will be
available to you in the meantime
via Metro. When you log into
Metro, you will see a link for
alumnae officers which contains
the resources and report forms
you need to do your job and
support your chapter members.
Plus, the many features of Metro
are available now for you to
start building those important
connections for your chapters
and your areas.
Watch your e-mail for your
invitation to Metro. You will
find many ways to use Metro to
enrich your experience, both as
an officer and as a member of
our great Sorority, connect to
even more Delta Zeta members and
to strengthen our sisterhood. We
look forward to seeing you in
the Metro!
