TO: Alumnae and Collegiate Chapter Presidents FROM: National Headquarters RE: Delta Zeta Chapter Websites Alumnae and collegiate chapters now have the ability to enrich their online experience with the new chapter website program available through Delta Zeta. Beginning August 2010, all active alumnae and collegiate chapters can create their own, unique website using the national chapter website editor system. Delta Zeta has created a new Chapter Website Tool which will enable chapters to increase their local marketing and communications. Your new chapter website will allow you to bring the Delta Zeta enriching brand to life in your communities. Chapter websites offer the flexibility of a custom website while maintaining a consistent Delta Zeta experience. • Chapter websites allow a flexible page layout within several style choices. • Delta Zeta chapter websites bring the authenticity of the official Delta Zeta identity to your chapter content. • Chapter sites feature a gallery of professional photography provided by the national office and allow you to add local pictures to your site. • Chapter websites keep membership informed through nationally managed content in News, Our Story, Philanthropy, Community Service, Links, Green Blog, Recruitment, Join and National Leaders. Market your DZ chapter on the web to local members and reach them where they are. • Chapter websites are equipped to communicate with Twitter and Facebook accounts. • Chapter websites integrate seamlessly with Facebook Fan Pages. • Chapter websites encourage member participation through features like Our Chapter, Photo Gallery, Contact Us, Member Spotlight and Calendars. Creating your chapter's website is simple! • Delta Zeta has created a new officer position for webmaster. Collegiate chapters can add a member to their officer roster through Chapter Inc. in this position. Alumnae chapters can add a webmaster by e-mailing her name and contact information to dzs@dzshq.com. Both collegiate and alumnae chapter presidents also have access to creating and updating their chapter's site. College Chapter Directors will have the ability to update their chapter's site as well. • Officers with access to the website tool can access their chapter's site by logging into Delta Zeta Metro and clicking on the Chapter Website Tools container found on your Metro page. • Your unique URL will be http://chapters.deltazeta.org/ChapterName where chapter name will be the Greek letter name of the collegiate chapter or the name of your alumnae chapter. • Plan to attend a training webinar. Delta Zeta has scheduled training webinars for chapter officers with access to their chapter's website tools. Webinars will be held on August 16 and 18 and September 13 and 15.
