The 2007 Outstanding Ohio Alumna

This award was established in 1984 and is presented in non-convention years to an alumna member who is actively involved in Delta Zeta, and has attained outstanding achievement in her career and/or community volunteer areas.

She has already been recognized in Ohio with the Lamplighter and Olive McCune Awards.

As an undergraduate she was awarded Province V’s “Over and Beyond the Call” Award and was selected as a Grace Mason Lundy Award winner. As member of the Panhellenic Judiciary Board at Kent State, she developed an interest in Panhellenic affairs that has continued to this day.

Her accomplishments are impressive and demonstrate an abiding interest in helping women achieve their highest potential and strengthening the ties of our sisterhood. As an American Red Cross blood donor, she has given 7 gallons of blood to help others in need.

This outstanding alumna joined the Kent alumnae chapter in 1977, became a pledge advisor to Gamma Kappa and joined the GK House Corporation. GK CCD was the next step. She served as the National Philanthropy Chairman for 2 years before becoming Province Collegiate Director for Province V in the 80s.

In 1987 she was elected to National Council. Her responsibilities on Council have included Director of College Chapter Finances, National Treasurer and Finance Committee Chairman, Chairman of the Norma Minch Andrisek Leadership Conference, Vice President of Membership, NPC Alternate from 1993 – 2002, and she presently serves as NPC Conference Delegate. She was appointed a mid American Area Advisor to College Panhellenics in 2002 and continues to serve in that role today.

Nominated by Columbus alumnae, Lynnda Wolf Hoefler is a familiar face in Columbus since she has been a National Chapter advisor to Theta for over a year.

Despite her many responsibilities on National Council and NPC, Lynnda Wolf Hoefler finds the time to support Region Vs collegians and alumnae. She is a gracious representative of Delta Zeta, a wonderful role model for all women and our special Province V Diamond.

Congratulations Lynnda!
