The 2007 Above and Beyond the Call Award
At the discretion of the Awards Committee, we are honoring an alumna with a new award. It’s name was inspired by a long ago Province V award given to Lynnda Hoefler. We received many outstanding nominations this year. This award is called The Above and Beyond the Call Award. This Delta Zeta was Initiated in 2000 and before taking alumna status in 2001, she served as historian, Lamp reporter, alumnae relations chair, chaplain, new member educator, guard and Greek Sing co-chair. She was honored as most outstanding senior, inducted into Order of the Omega and attended State Day and the Norma Minch Andrisek Leadership Conference. She joined the local alumnae group in 2002 and has been active ever since. She is the chapter collegiate faculty advisor and collegiate academic advisor. Her support of her collegiate chapter’s activities is amazing, and includes helping at fundraisers, providing needed supplies for activities, donating gifts to seniors and serving as a liaison between collegians and alumnae. In 2006 and 2007 she led workshops at regional officer training for academic chairmen. Last year’s State Day was in Youngstown and Kappa Chi alumna, Angela Barwick Messenger hosted planning meetings and presented the popular Wedding Workshop. She was a Lamplighter recipient in 2005 and today is awarded the Above and Beyond the Call Award. Congratulations Angela! Other 2007 Ohio State Information
