Alumnae-Collegiate Chapter Relations Award 2008

This award is given jointly to an alumnae chapter and one or more collegiate chapters for outstanding alumnae-collegiate relations, including joint programs/activities and contributions/support.

This year’s alumnae chapter winner supports not one, but two local collegiate chapters. Joint activities include a Potluck Dinner and program at the chapter house in the spring, the Walk 4 Hearing and an Alumnae tea party during Homecoming weekend. In addition, the alumnae chapter provides a representative for all Initiation ceremonies. 

A goodie basket, including emergency items such as bobby pins and chocolate, was provided for fall recruitment. The alumnae chapter donated $100 for the purchase of bowls that were decorated and auctioned off for the God's Kitchen "soups on for all" event, and one of the collegiate chapters held a fundraiser with proceeds going to the Delta Zeta team for the Walk 4 Hearing. In addition, a number of alumnae serve as advisors for one of the collegiate chapters. Congratulations to the Grand Rapids Alumnae Chapter, Xi Psi chapter from Grand Valley State University, and Zeta Nu chapter at Ferris State University.
