2009 Pamela McClure Cronenwett Award Winner

Our first award is the Pamela McClure Cronenwett Loyalty Award.  This award is presented to an alumna member of Delta Zeta in Region VI who has made a significant contribution to her sorority through her loyalty, interest and devotion.  We have six previous award winners here today: Karen Miron, Jane Telder, Barbara Osiecki Csircsu, Judy Christian, Tommy Gilpin, and last year’s winner - Margaret Cole.  This year’s winner is also present today.  She was initiated into the Gamma Psi Chapter in 1998, and earned her BA in journalism from Central Michigan University in 2000.  She went on to complete her MBA at Ferris State University, and was awarded the Ferris College of Business Student Excellence Award in 2008.  She currently works as the Assistant Director of News Services at Ferris State University and is a member of the IT Communications Task Force, History Task Force and Student Engagement Task Force, and has served as CCD of Zeta Nu chapter since 2005.  Leah was nominated by the chapter, and they write, “As a chapter, we feel that Leah is an outstanding leader, role model and sister. She is someone for us to look up to and admire. Without her, our chapter would not be complete. We are so thankful for all the time that she gives to us and to Delta Zeta as a whole. She is the key to our success as a chapter and we are all so proud to call her not only our College Chapter Director, but also our sister and friend.”  Congratulations to Leah Nixon for being named the 2009 Pamela McClure Cronenwett Award Winner.
