Outstanding Alumnae Chapter Award – This award is given to the one chapter that demonstrates outstanding membership, programming, philanthropy and assistance to local organizations, as well as contributions to the Delta Zeta Foundation.  The basis for this award is the information provided on the annual Alumnae Chapter Review Form.  This year, 55% of Ohio chapters completed the form, a huge improvement over the 30% of chapters that reported in 2009.  Our alumnae chapters have seen great achievements in the areas of programming, philanthropy, fundraising, alumnae outreach and alumnae-collegiate relations, and as a result I am happy to report that the awards committee has chosen an Outstanding Alumnae Chapter Award winner this year, for the first time since 2007.  The winning chapter has managed to increase its membership in a time when most chapters are struggling to retain members. In addition, the chapter has contributed over $1,000 to local charities and the Foundation, participated in a number of philanthropic activities in the local community, collaborated with the local collegiate chapter and a nearby alumnae chapter for sisterhood and service events, and implemented programming to support the local business community.  Congratulations to the Dayton Area Alumnae Chapter on being named the 2010 Outstanding Alumnae Chapter.
