The Lucile Crowell Cooks & Mella Cooks Davies Alumnae Collegiate Relations Award has not been awarded for many years. It is presented to the alumnae chapter which has shared their meetings and events with a collegiate chapter and has supported the collegiate chapter financially and has participated in their activities.

The 2008 Winner is the Delaware Area Alumnae Chapter, along with Alpha Rho at Ohio Wesleyan University and Zeta Kappa Chapter at Ohio Northern University.

Alum Chums: an alumna writes to a new initiate to welcome them to Delta Zeta. The letters also go on to explain what we have done since graduation both professionally and with Delta Zeta to show that being a Delta Zeta is a life long commitment, not just for the college years. We did this with the Alpha Rho Chapter in the spring of ’07 and the Zeta Kappa chapter in the fall of ’07.

Summer cookout: during the summer, our chapter has a family cookout and invited an of the Alpha Rho girls that were on campus for the summer to come join us.

Founder’s Day: celebrated with both the Zeta Kappa and Alpha Rho Chapters.

Recruitment: helped the Alpha Rho Chapter in whatever capacity they need during the weekend.

Delaware Speech & Hearing Center: work with the AP chapter on different programs at the center.

Paint your own pottery: the Alumnae chapter and the AP chapter get together before the holidays to make gifts and to visit with each other.

Graduation cords: Several alumnae members donated money to support the purchasing of Graduation cords for the AP Chapter

Recruitment: send letters of support and encouragement to both chapters.

Advisory Boards: many of our Alumnae members are on the advisory boards of both Zeta Kappa and Alpha Rho Chapters.
